Task 1
The diagram below describes the structure of a home smoker and how it works. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram illustrates how a home smokery is structured and how it functions.
According to the diagram, the smokery has three chambers linked with each other by air passages at their bottoms. Two chambers are underground while the smoking box at the end of the process in above the ground.
As regards the working mechanism of the system, first, the lid of the first underground chamber is opened to feed the smokery with fresh air. Then the air travels to the second underground chamber to burn logs of firewood to create smoke. After that, the smoke finds no way to escape through the top of this chamber because of its closure by a lid, but it is forced by the air supply to continue to move to the third and final section of the system. In particular, smoke is channeled through a pipe up to the smoking box on the ground where fish and meat are hung for being smoked.
In general, the diagram details how smoke can be created and how food curing takes place in a home-made smokery. (180 words)

11/01/2020, a Chinese IELTS test. Some people think that climate change could have a negative effect on business. Other people think that climate change could create more business opportunities. Discuss both views and give your own opinions.
Some feel pessimistic about business opportunties when the Earth suffers climate change while others find favorable conditions to develop. This essay will clarify both views and point out the gloomy picture of the economy dibilitated by global warming in the long run.
Climate change has landed its devastating blow on (giáng đòn hủy hoại xuống) the Earth in a variety of fields. In agriculture, the exitential loss of land due to sea encroachment is getting more severe. Famers has reduced their work because they have lost vast stretches of land to cultivate crops due to salination along the coastline and near river estuaries. Meanwhile, some industries like meat and thermal energy production have to comply with regulations on greenhouse gas emissions and thus licensing for businesses in these fields is subject to (bị) limitation. In addition, places famous for winter tourism now face early melting of snow, which shortens their earning seasons, drives many workers to unemployment, and eradicates businesseses.
However, the warming of the Earth also gives rise to temporary business opportunities. Take the heat waves that lashed countries world wide in the past few years as an example, sales of air conditioners and drinks soared with the increasing need of people to cool their nights down for sound sleep and to rehydrate (lấy lại nước) their bodies in the scorching sun.(mặt trời như thiêu đốt) The world is hotter and hotter, so as the business that produces cooling system and beverages. Besides, demand for products for skin protection against the ultraviolet rays from the blazing sun will also boom when health damage caused by the sunlight is more acute (trầm trọng) and visible.
In conclusion, climate change deprives the world of business opportunites in some sectors but seems to encourage some other fields to develop to help people fight against the damages of global warming. However, resources for sustainable development like land, and the agricultural products will be scarer in the face of the seemingly irreversible heating of the Earth. More natural disasters like the forest fires in Amazon forest and Australia will gradually take their toll in the future to bring more worries than hopes to even the most optimistic now.
